Austerity August:Day 3

Secret austerity comes to Canberra | | MacroBusiness Day three on making a very tight budget for August work:

Spent morning doing small jobs around GF's house, then reading a library book while he worked 1/2 day. Breakfast was two pieces of toast made from the loaf I baked yesterday with butter and jam and coffee.
Lunch was grilled cheese sandwiches made with bread from the home baked loaf and cheese slices bought originally for daughter's grad party and baby carrots with ranch dressing for dipping.

We did go out in the evening to a county fair in the county GF works in. Admission was under $10 for both of us and we had a terrific time together, both of us are big fans of farm animals, the agricultural displays, and antique tractors. Dorky? Yes. Do we care? Nope. LOL.
We spent very little on food and drink and as we do each year brought home two ginormous cinnamon rolls for Sunday breakfast from a stand that sells baked goods. I spent no money at all and GF was happy that we had a good time out for very little cost out of his budget!
A terrific date night!
